Burning Sky by Lori Benton

Lori Benton is a new author.  This is her first book.  Her website is listed below.  This story didn't hold my attention as much as other stories I've read.  I felt like the plot was moving to slow.  I enjoyed the story and if Lori Benton writes another book, I would most likely give it a try.

The story follows Burning Sky or Willa as she journeys to her parents home.  She was taken at fourteen to live with the Mohawks.  Her Mohawk family is dead and now she is going back to her real family.  Before she can make it home, she stumbles across an injured man, Neil MacGregor.  She takes him to her family's cabin to take care of him.  She encounters people from her past when she returns.  She also has to deal with lots of emotions, learning who to trust and who to be careful with.  There was one or two twists that I didn't really see coming.  Other than that, the story was pretty easy to read even though it felt like it was dragging on at times.

This book was published on August 6, 2013.

I received this book for free from NetGalley.  I was not required to write a positive review for receiving this book.
